Beardy Waters Heritage Park

 A handy stopping area 10 kilometers north of Glen Innes is Beardy Waters Heritage Park located on the western side of New England Highway. We stopped over here right before a storm hit and were treated to a colourful sunset after the storm passed. There is a toilet as can be seen in the photo below.

Located approximately 8 to 10 kilometers north of Glen Innes New South Wales Beardy Waters Heritage Park offers a tranquil escape for nature lovers and travelers alike. Nestled next to Beardy Waters Creek, this picturesque park provides a perfect setting for a peaceful stopover.

Beardy Waters Heritage Park is known for its rural setting, with greenery and the creek. There are large areas for camping making it an ideal spot for a stopover.

The park offers free camping, allowing visitors to enjoy the great outdoors without breaking the bank. With creek access, it's a place to try fishing or just relaxing by the water. Dogs on leash are permitted and the park has good mobile phone reception.

Beardy Waters Heritage Park is part of the Glen Innes Severn area, known for its rich history and vibrant community. The nearby town of Glen Innes offers attractions, including the Australian Standing Stones and the annual Australian Celtic Festival.
