Food & Drinks: The food at Hair of the Dog is simply outstanding. The drink selection includes a variety of local brews and Australian favorites, ensuring there's something for everyone. Our grilled Barramundi and vegetarian pizza were excellent. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere make dining here a memorable experience.

Free Camp Area: Opposite the pub, there's a free camp area beside the railway. This large area is part grass, part red dirt, and has plenty of trees for shade or shade can be avoided by parking closer to the fence beside the railway line. We heard two freight trains pass during the night. It's a great spot for travelers to set up their campervans or caravans and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Campers would need to be self contained in the free camp area alongside the railway line. The park next to the pub is meant to have toilets open 24 hours which we did not verify.

 Located at rear of The Royal Hotel Deman is a newly upgraded area with caravan and RV bays roadbased and turf beside each bay plus the area is fenced behind the main car park providing a private secure area. We asked at the bar before driving in and were told no problem at all just park in any of the spots behind the main car park beside the hotel. Main street of Denman is just around the corner with shops and cafe's. Distant train noise but nothing to really disturb sleep during the night.  Silverton Hotel in Silverton NSW advertises meals all day, icy cold beers, accommodation and souvenirs. We tested out the beer and a burger with the lot and a vegeburger which all hit the spot. There are many humorous quotes written on placards hanging from the ceiling and a lot of photos depicting some of the movies that have been filmed in the area.
